To relief pain of muscle strain 2. Reduce body temperature 3. To stop bleeding 4. To decrease the swelling and haematoma 5. To relieve congestion following injury ICE BAG Contraindication 1. Hypothermia 2. Muscle spasm 3. Peripheral neuropathy 4. Unconscious client ICE BAG Equipment: - Bowl with ice - Metal tray - Ice bag with cover - Salt - Spoon to take salt - Small towel - Mackintosh / incopad *check for the presence leakage by fill the bag with water. ICE BAG Implementation: 1. Great and explain procedure 2. Provide privacy 3. Wash hands 4. Fill ice bag half –full with ice cubes and expel air -air inside bag will increase pressure and disturbing conduction ICE BAG 5.
