SOCIAL SCIENCES are group of academic
disciplines dedicated to examine the society. This
branch of science studies how people interact with
each other, behave, develop as a culture, and
influence the world.
You will be able to explore three disciplines of
Social Science in this lesson. The nature and
functions of Anthropology, Economics and
Geography.
GEOGRAPHY
ANTHROPOLOGY

PHYSICAL Physical Anrhropology,Which deals with the

Microeconomics, where the unit of anaylsis is

GEOGRAPHY

Physical geaography examines phenomena


PHYSICAL related to the natural environment: Climate,

earth.

Human Geopgraphy focuses largely on the built


environment and how space is created, viewed,
HUMAN and managed by humans as well as the influence

fields as diverse as Cultural Geography,
