    Why are technical
    drawings important?
    A technical drawing, also known as an
    engineering drawing, is a detailed, precise
    diagram or plan that conveys information about
    how an object functions or is constructed.
    Engineers, electricians, and contractors all use
    these drawings as guides when constructing or
    repairing objects and buildings.
    Technical drawings bridge the communication
    between designers, who come up with ideas,
    and producers, the people who put those ideas
    into practice. They’re designed as a universal
    language to be understood by engineers,
    contractors, and architects.
    Types of technical
    drawings
    Schematic Diagram
    A schematic is defined as a picture that
    shows something in a simple way, using
    symbols. A schematic diagram is a picture that
    represents the components of a process,
    device, or other object using abstract, often
    standardized symbols and lines..
    Charts
    In general a chart is a graphical
    representation of data. A flowchart is a
    graphical representation of decision and their
    result mapped out in individual shape.
    Block Diagram
    A visual representation of how
    parts of an object relate to each
    other and work together
    Pictorial Diagram
    A pictorial diagram uses pictures to represent
    the different components of a particular
    system. Pictorial diagrams can vary in level of
    detail. Some diagrams may have realistic
    pictures to make the various components easier
    to identify.
