 By responding to CDP we are setting up processes for
reporting to many carbon schemes

What do we need to report?
Emissions & Costs

 Scope 1: Direct emissions


 Stationary combustion: gas (eg: hot water), generators
 Mobile combustion: company vehicles / aircraft

 Scope 2: Indirect emissions


 Stationary combustion: purchased electricity, steam or heat

… in simple language:
 Amount of gas or other fuel purchased / burned for energy
 Distance travelled in company vehicles
 Amount of electricity, steam or heat purchased
 The costs of all the above

 CDP focal points contact Location Directors


 Location Director nominates the facilities manager to work with the
focal point
 Focal points collect and calculate data
 Focal points send data to Global HSE

How do we calculate our emissions?

 Collect data:
 Invoices from each building
 Distances travelled in company vehicles

 Calculate emissions and costs:


 Use simple tools provided
 Input data
 Select country-specific factors

What tools do we use?

 All the calculations spreadsheets are already set up

 All that is required is data input into the tools (spreadsheet)
