Monitoring
in a Project
Planning a Project
The planning of projects is one of the most important
stages of carrying out a project. It allows for your team
to handle:

• Creation/development of Schedules
• Clear objectives
• Effective resource assignment
• Budget/Time control
• Member assignment
When first creating a project there
are 3 main things you need to take
into account:

Time: Amount of time the client has given

you to create the project

Cost: Ensuring the costs stay within the

budget of the client

Quality: Delivering a good quality product

that’s up to the clients standard
Network Diagrams
These diagrams are made up of Nodes and Arrows which represent the
tasks required and the length of time each task will take.
Critical Path
Critical Path is the longest path from start to finish that a project goes
through.
It represents the minimum time required for the entire project to be
completed

Gantt Diagram
These Gantt Diagrams help with planning and scheduling similar to the other
diagrams. However with these diagrams it is easier to see the margin of safety
you have within a project.
These days can be used if the project is falling behind to prioritise the tasks
that would usually take longer

Electrical: 1 Day safety

Plumbing: 3 Days safety
Setting roof : 5 Days safety
