TEMPORARY INDOOR POLE LIGHT BULB; SOIL AS ITS ALTERNATIVE SOURCE OF ELECTRICITY
INTRODUCTION
At present our country faces a huge economic crisis, at the same time crisis in natural resources since it
said to be limited. Human necessities are many that said to be one of the factors why natural resources are can meet
the scarcity and shortage. One of main necessity of the human is the electricity consumption. There are several areas
experience an absence of electricity, specifically in the Philippine country specially to those in rural areas who
struggle to the absence of consumption of electricity. Electricity is very significant in the daily lives of people
specifically in lighting.
Lighting with electricity is consist of a certain bulb, where filament gets hot which turn glows and
produces light. Having light in home gives comfort and enable people do their task despite of dark hours or night
time. Moreover, some areas that already consume electricity for lighting lessen their consumption due to the high
bill payment of the electricity. Electricity sources are dependable on its sources and power lines whereas some
reason why there’s an outages of electricity. These are the main reason why the researchers conduct this study to
solve or mitigate this problem in lighting, and its consumption matter.
The researchers have gather and collaborate for the ideas to create an indoor pole light bulb which its
alternative source is soil. A light bulb is a device used to convert electricity into light, consisting of a source of
illumination, moreover a soil is the loose surface material that covers most land. It consists of inorganic particles and
organic matter The researchers choose to take this surface material with water as an alternative source electricity of
pole light bulb since the soil has an ability to produce electricity.
TEMPORARY INDOOR POLE LIGHT BULB; SOIL AS ITS ALTERNATIVE SOURCE OF ELECTRICITY
INTRODUCTION
According to the study of sparkle (2018). Soils are electric current conductors, being usually clay
soils, with finer particles and with greater points of contact between them, higher conductors when
compared to sandy soils, with coarser particles and therefore with smaller points of contact between them.
This is why the researchers consider the idea that it is possible to obtain an electricity from soil and use it
for pole light bulb. The researcher used the clay soil since it has a high probability for electric current
conductors with also the use of copper wire, galvanized metal screws as part for an electric lines and
power house. The researchers will conduct this research by also having an input variable which is the
liquid mixture which are the vinegar and water to observe and discovers its effect changes of voltages to
the indoor pole light bulb. The researchers find the use of indoor pole light bulb where soil as its source of
electricity beneficial on the part of the rural areas and residents wherein funds and electric currents
resources are limited.

TEMPORARY INDOOR POLE LIGHT BULB; SOIL AS ITS ALTERNATIVE SOURCE OF ELECTRICITY
Concept
Soil is a mixture of dissolved minerals salts, water, and organic matter, Due to this
the soil is full of charge carrying ions (cations and anions) that can conduct an
electric current.
The study has a cathode and anode component that serve as the conductor
component which are the galvanized metal screw and copper wire.
Note;
Cathode- Positive Electrodes
Anode- Negative Electrodes

Concept : Vinegar and Water Mixture
Vinegar contains acetic acid which can partially dissociate into hydrogen ions and
acetate ions in water. These ions facilitate the conduction of electric current.
Water present in vinegar serves as a medium for ion transport. The presence of
water enhances the movement of ions and acids in conducting electricity.
