PROBLEM STATEMENT

Analysis of Room Temperature with Number of duct Air Conditioner using

Computational Fluid Dynamics

In this project, Different numbers of duct air conditioner is taken into consideration with discrete duct
locations. A duct Air Conditioning system is a system in which number of duct is responsible for
conveying air at a given condition and for no. of different locations. A duct system is suitable for scattering
of dehumidified air. Under certain load conditions, the duct system simultaneously operates with both
heating and cooling of the supplied air. Therefore, the working of the synthesized system is similar to that
of different numbers of duct system.
RELEVANCE

The relevance of the topic, "optimal placement of AC vents for optimal cooling of a room," is significant for several reasons :

 Energy Efficiency : As energy conservation becomes increasingly important, efficient cooling methods can reduce
electricity consumption and contribute to sustainability goals.

 Comfort and Productivity : Proper cooling enhances the comfort and productivity of occupants in residential,
commercial, and industrial spaces, which has wide-ranging implications for well-being and work performance.

 Cost Savings : Effective cooling can lead to lower energy bills by reducing the need for excessive cooling or additional
appliances like fans.

 Environmental Impact : Energy-efficient cooling reduces greenhouse gas emissions, making it an essential
consideration for climate change mitigation.
OBJECTIVES

 To determine difference between room temperature using different numbers of air conditioner.

 Evaluate the performance of different configurations of ducted air conditioners with varying numbers, sizes, and
placements.

 To determine which setup provides optimal temperature control and comfort for the room.

 Investigate how the number of air conditioners affects the distribution of cooling loads within the room, aiming for even
cooling across all areas.
