( Source: Surah Sad & Al-Isra) Today, I will tell you the story of ‘one of the best female companions of the prophet’ صلى هللا عليه وسلم Khadijah Bint Khuwaylid Radi Allahu Anha How much have you listened about Khadijah Bint Khuwaylid (R’ad’iAllahu Anha)??? She was the first wife of Prophet Muhammad صلى هللا عليه وسلم So, Muslims often address her as "Mother of the Believers". Family Birth 556 CE Tribe Quraysh Year

Father Mother Asad Za'idah Her father was a prosperous businessman and a popular leader of the Quraysh tribe.
Her first marriage left her a
widow; and following the end of her second marriage. Khadijah was a very successful merchant. Her business was larger than all of the Quraysh trades combined and the most acclaimed with a reputation of fair-dealing and high-quality goods. Her Business Policy Her policy was to employ hardworking, honest and distinguished managers and employees who traveled far and wide on her behalf.
She exported her goods to far
away markets like Syria, and her managers bought goods from those markets to be sold at Mecca. It is said that she fed and clothed the poor and assisted her relatives financially and provided for poor relations. Titles Ameerat- Khadija Al Quraysh Al Tahira Kubrah
Her wisdom and business
ability made her business one She used to give her earnings People of Arab used to call to the poor and to the of the most widespread her ‘Al-Tahira’ which means orphans, to the widows and companies. That’s why she ‘The Pure One’ . the sick. That’s why she was got the title, ‘Ameerat Quraysh’ which means entitled as ‘Khadija Al Kubra’ ‘Princess of Quraysh’. means ‘Khadija the great’. How she met Prophet Muhammad صلى هللا عليه وسلم
In 595 Khadija ( ) رضي هللا عنهneeded
a co-worker for a transaction in Syria. She chose Muhammad Ibn Abdullah for the trade. With the permission of Abu Talib Ibne Muttalib his uncle, he was sent to Syria with one of Khadija's servants. The integrity and honesty of the Prophet ( ) صلى هللا عليه وسلمbrought such blessings that he returned with an unexpected profit. Hazrat Khadija’s ( ) رضي هللا عنهservant, Maysarah, who accompanied the Holy Prophet صلى هللا عليه وسلمon his journey was full of praise for him. Impressed, she extended the marriage proposal to the Holy Prophet (SA) which was accepted and through mutual consent, they got married. The Holy Prophet (SA) was 25 and Hazrat Khadija (RA), 40. Their Children Qasim Zaynab Ruqayyah Umm Kulthum Fatema Abdullah When the Messenger (Sallall’ahu Alaihi Wasallam) of Allah was 40 years old, he received his first revelation. He returned home restlessly and narrated the whole incident to his wife and disclosed his fears of the responsibility, which Allah had placed on him. “Allah will never disgrace you, while you are kind and considerate Her answer reflected to your relations, help the poor and the unwavering support, faith abandoned and bear and love she held for her their burdens. You treat husband. guests with honor and help those who are in distress.” She took him to her cousin Waraqa bin Naufal, a renowned scholar of past religion, who affirmed Muhammad صلى هللا عليه وسلمof his prophethood and declared his encounter to be of divine origins.
Thus, Hazrat Khadija رضي هللا عنهwas the first
person to believe in her husband’s mission and embrace Islam. In its emerging years, when Islam was under the constant oppression, Hazrat Khadija (R’ad’iall’ahu Anha) stood firmly by the Messenger (Sallall’ahu Alaihi Wasallam) of Allah and helped him with moral and financial support. She donated all her wealth for the propagation of Islam. During these harsh times, Khadijah(R’ad’iall’ahu Anha) remained a loyal and patient companion and wife, often giving Muhammad (Sallall’ahu Alaihi Wasallam) wise and compassionate guidelines. Her constant support strengthened him in his mission to spread the Message of Allah subhanahu wa ta-ala. For three years the small Muslim community lived in exile, cut off from Sadly, these long and difficult their kith and kin and enduring a life months left Khadijah of hardship. However, although they (R’ad’iall’ahu Anha) suffered from hunger and thirst, the Muslims knew that they were physically weakened. following the truth, and so nothing else mattered. Finally the boycott was lifted and the Muslims were allowed to re-enter the city; but the three years of hardship had taken their toll on her health. She spent her last days in the loving care of her husband and daughters.
Hazrat Khadija (R’ad’iall’ahu Anha) died
at the age of 65 and was buried in the Meccan cemetery of Hujoon. Why Khadija 1. Because, she is the first person on this earth to publicly accept Islam. ( )رضي هللا عنهis 2. She bestowed all her wealth to spread one of the most Islam. 3. She left no stone unturned to support the important female messenger of Allah. figures in Islam? “She believed in me when the whole world denied to accept my truth, when the whole world accused me of falsehood. She offered me compassion and loyalty with her wealth when everyone else had abandoned me” (The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) Allah subhanahu wa ta-ala was so pleased with Khadijah ( )رضي هللا عنهthat he sent her salam. Jibreel (Alaihis Salam) not only carried this dignified salam, he also sent his own greetings to Khadija ()رضي هللا عنه.
