What is it?
• Wheelchair tennis is an adaptation of
the popular sport tennis, designed for
those with disabilities and
impairments. Apart from the player
being on a wheelchair the sport is
virtually the same when contrasted
with standard pedestrian tennis

Who can play
it?
The eligibility requirements

• To play wheelchair-tennis the


applicant must have a permanent,
physical disability that affects his or
her mobility. People with
amputations due to diseases e.g.
cancer are also allowed to compete.
