What is transpose of a matrix?
Answer: Interchanging the rows and columns of a matrix mutually is said to be transpose of
a matrix.
For Example:

What a symmetric matrix?

Answer: A square matrix A is said to be symmetric if
Or: If the transpose of a square matrix is same as to the matrix is said to be a symmetric
matrix
For Example:

Since, , so A is symmetric matrix

Additive Inverse of a Matrix?
Let be a matrix then the additive inverse of is represented by and defined by
changing the signs of all entries of matrix .
For Examples:
Let
It is also said to be Negative of a matrix A.
Skew-Symmetric Matrix:
A square matrix A is said to be Skew-Symmetric if
Or: A square matrix A is said to be skew-symmetric if the transpose of a matrix A
is same as to the negative of A.
For Example:

Now

Since
, So M is skew-symmetric matrix.
