*Background of the study
Children with a special needs are children who need special services or
treatment to achieve optimal development as result of the abnormalities or
extraordinary things they carry
*The Problem of The Study
Can vocabulary Mastery be Improved through fun thinkers Media for the first
year mental disabled student of SMP Negeri 3 Hutabayuraja
*The Objectives of the study
To find out the increase in the ability of Vocabulary knowledge through Fun
thinkers Media
*The Scope of the Study
In this research I just focused on visual Method especially in thinkers Media to
improve Students’Vocabulary Mastery for the first year Mental Disabled
Students of SMP Negeri 3 Hutabayuraja
CHAPTER 2
• Defenition Learning Media
According to Heici (Azhar Arsyad 2015:3)
Media is an intermediary that delivers information between sources and recipients
According to gagne and Briggs (AzharArsyad 2015:4)
Learning media Includes tools that are physically used to convey the contents of
teaching materials, which consist of books, tape recorders, cassettes, video cameras,
video recordes, film, slides, photos, pictures, etc

According to Gordon(Kurniati 2017:25)
Fun Thinkers Media is a is a set of books packaged to make learning activities more
enjoyable. This media presents a game with books and visual frames that make
learning activities more fun
Definition of Vocabulary
• Akhaidah (1991:41) Vocabulary is all the words contained in a
sentence or language
• (Tampubolon S, 2018) Vocabulary is concerned with the origins
of words, their changes over time, how they relate to one
another, and how we utilize vocabulary to understand words

* Autism is defined as an understanding that is only interested in

• This research was conducted using a single
subject experimental design or Single Subject
Research. The research design used is A-B-A.
Data that has been collected, analyzed through
descriptive statistics
• Technique of Collecting Data
Data collection that will be used in this
research is temporary identification with
written test
Technique of Analyzing Data
Data analysis in single subject research focused
on Individual data. Analysis was carried out to
see whether there was an effect on the
independent variable or intervention on the
dependent or target behaviour.
