Effect on medical education
• The Government banned face-to-face teaching at all levels of education -
primary, secondary and university - throughout the country.

• Even medical interns are not allowed to attend classes and hospital
rotations.

• There are difficulties in providing Personal Protective Equipment.

• Teaching is currently taking place virtually with the added problem that
the internet connection is slow in Iquitos.
