Earthquakes are vibrations or vibrations that occur on the
surface of the earth due to the sudden release of energy from within which creates seismic waves. Earthquakes are usually caused by the movement of the earth's crust (Earth's plates).
the event of the earth shaking due to the sudden release
of energy in the earth which is marked by the breaking of rock layers in the earth's crust. The accumulation of energy that causes earthquakes results from the movement of tectonic plates. Earthquakes are usually caused by the movement of the earth's crust or the earth's plates. In addition, earthquakes can also be caused by volcanic eruptions.
An earthquake can also be
interpreted as an event where the earth vibrates due to a sudden release of energy in the earth which is marked by the breaking of rock layers in the earth's crust. The frequency of earthquakes in a region refers to the type and size of earthquakes experienced over a period of time. Earthquakes are measured using a seismometer. Earthquakes are divided into three types, namely:
1. VOLCANIC EARTHQUAKE VOLCANIC EARTHQUAKES ARE
EARTHQUAKES CAUSED BY VOLCANIC ERUPTIONS. EXAMPLE: MOUNT BROMO EARTHQUAKE, MOUNT UNA-UNA EARTHQUAKE, MOUNT KRAKATAU EARTHQUAKE . 2. TECTONIC EARTHQUAKES TECTONIC EARTHQUAKES ARE EARTHQUAKES THAT OCCUR DUE TO A SHIFT IN THE LAYERS OF THE EARTH'S CRUST DUE TO THE RELEASE OF ENERGY IN THE SUBDUCTION ZONE. TECTONIC EARTHQUAKES HAVE QUITE POWERFUL STRENGTH. EXAMPLE: EARTHQUAKE IN ACEH, BENGKULU, PANGANDARAN. 3. EARTHQUAKE COLLAPSES OR FALLS COLLAPSE OR TERBAN EARTHQUAKES ARE EARTHQUAKES CAUSED BY LANDSLIDES, COLLAPSED CAVES, AND THE LIKE. THIS TYPE OF EARTHQUAKE ONLY HAS A SMALL IMPACT AND THE AREA IS NARROW. *GROUP NAME: 1.)ADHIPRAMANA A.A.J(1) 2.)DEVA NANDA .R (11) 3.)FERDINATA .C (14) 4.)FIRDHAUS.A (15) 5.)M.FATIH.R (29)
