CERTIFICATE OF CANVASS AND PROCLAMATION
AND PROCLAMATION OF WINNING CANDIDATES
The BBOC shall prepare in
QUADRUPLICATE (4 copies) the
COCP duly signed and thumb marked
by each member, supported by SOVs
received by each candidate in each
precinct, and, on the basis thereof,
proclaim as elected the Punong
Barangay and 7 Kagawads and the SK
Chairperson and 7 SK Kagawads who
obtained the highest number of votes.
A copy of the SOVs shall be attached to
each copy of the COCP except for the
copy of the winning candidates. In case
of a tie, Section 554 shall apply.
When should the canvass
be completed?
Subject to reasonable exceptions, the
BBOC shall complete the canvass
within 24 hours from the time the first
ER is received.
DISTRIBUTION  1st COPY – Election Officer
(EO)
OF COCPS  2nd COPY – Winning
Candidate for Punong Brgy
(Sec. 556) or SK Chairperson
 3rd COPY – Secretary of the
Sangguniang
Bayan/Panglungsod, as the
case may be
 4th COPY – Secretary of the
Sangguniang Barangay
The winning candidate for Punong Barangay or
SK Chairperson shall reproduce the copies of the
COCP and distribute the same to each winning
Barangay and SK Kagawads.
SAFEKEEPING OF CANVASSED
ERS (Sec. 557)
After the canvass, the BBOC shall:
1. Return the ERs for the Brgy and SK in their
proper envelopes
2. Place these envelopes in the envelope for
canvassed ERs
3. Close and seal the same with a paper seal
4. Note in the Minutes the serial number of the
paper seal
5. Affix their signatures on the paper seal
6. Deliver the envelope containing the
canvassed
ERs to the City/Municipal Treasurer.
