Meaning:

A literature review is a survey of scholarly


sources (such as books, journals articles,
and thesis) related to a specific topic or
research question. It is often written as a
part of thesis, dissertation, or research
paper, in order to situate the work in related
to existing knowledge.
Research Topic
Meaning:
A research topic is a specific subject or areas of
interest that a researcher wants to investigate or explore in-
depth through research. It is the overarching theme or
question that guides a research project and helps to focus
the research activities towards a clear objective.

1. Narrow your topic and select papers
accordingly:

2. Search for literature:


• Literature search is a systematic and well-
organized search from the already published data
to identify a breadth of good quality references on
a specific topic.
• You can go to library and begin searching
for your holdings or go to computerized database.
•3. Read the selected article thoroughly and evaluate them:
After finding some sources that seems to be relevant and carefully
evaluate them before including them in our paper. The sources that you
have found should be effective and they are relevant to subject matter.

•4. Organize the selected papers by looking for patterns and by developing
subtopics :
• The purpose of this paper is to examine the effectiveness of
testing of hypothesis. Make sure that your topics fit better under different
headings for your specific research.

•5. Develop a thesis or purpose statement:


• This should be a sentence or two that tells you exactly what you’re
going to be writing about. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the
relationship between independent variable and dependent variable.
