1. Muay Thai
Muay Thai, a type of kickboxing martial art
styled by the Thai Empire, is the national sport
in the Kingdom of Thailand and is a local martial
art. Muay Thai is similar to other martial arts
styles from Indochina, such as pradal serey
from Cambodia, Tomoi from Malaysia, lethwei
from Myanmar and Muay Lao from Laos. Muay
Thai is the national sport of the Kingdom of
Thailand and a derivative of the ancient Muay
Boran martial art.
2. Art
Thai art and temple architecture evolved from a number of sources, one of which
is Khmer architecture. Contemporary Thai art often combines traditional Thai
elements with modern techniques. Literature in Thailand is heavily influenced
by Indian Hindu culture. Thailand's most prominent literary works are versions of
the Ramayana, the Hindu religious epic, called Ramakien, written in part by Kings
Rama I and Rama II, and the poem Sunthorn Phu.
3. Traditional Thai Clothing
