Introduction

Computers have become an essential part of our daily lives, and

we use them for various purposes such as work, entertainment,
and communication. However, one of the most frustrating
things that can happen while using a computer is a slow
performance. In this presentation, we will explore some of the
reasons why computer performance slows down
outline
 Introduction to topic:
 Why computer slows performance slows down?
 Conclusion.
Why computer slows performance slows down?

• Insufficient Memory
• Running too many programs at once
• Malware and Viruses
• Fragmented Hard Drive
• Outdated Hardware
• Overheating
Insufficient Memory
Computers need sufficient memory to run efficiently. When
there isn't enough memory available, the computer will use the
hard disk as virtual memory, which is slower than RAM. This
process can cause the computer to slow down, especially if there
are many programs running at once
Running too many programs at once

Running too many programs simultaneously can slow down

your computer's performance. When there are too many
programs running, the computer must allocate resources to
each one, which can lead to slower performance
Malware and Viruses

Malware and viruses are a common cause of computer

slowdowns. Malware can slow down your computer by using up
resources or by launching malicious processes in the
background. It can also interfere with the operating system,
causing instability and crashes.
Fragmented Hard Drive

When files are stored on a hard drive, they can become

fragmented over time. This means that the file is not stored in a
contiguous block, but instead, it is split up into smaller parts
that are scattered across the disk. This fragmentation can cause
slower performance because the computer needs to search for
and assemble the scattered parts of the file before it can be
accessed
Outdated Hardware

Older hardware may not be able to keep up with modern

software and applications. For example, if you have an older
computer with a slow processor or limited RAM,it may struggle
to run newer programs or multiple programs at once, causing
slow performance
Overheating

Overheating is a common issue that can cause your computer to

slow down or even crash. If your computer's cooling system
isn't working properly or if it's clogged with dust,it can't
dissipate heat effectively, causing the processor to slow down to
prevent damage.
Conclusion
In conclusion, there are several reasons why computer
performance can slow down. By taking steps to address these
issues, such as adding more memory, updating hardware,or
running antivirus software, you can improve your computer's
performance and enjoy a smoother experience. Thank you for
