National Curriculum Council

• To serve as a professional, advisory and


consultative national body to steer and guide the
development of curriculum in close collaboration
and consultation with all the federating units to
ensure minimum quality standards from Early
Childhood Education to grade XII
• To develop jointly the curriculum framework
leading to minimum curriculum standards
• To carry out and oversee the implementation of
the curriculum framework by the provinces/areas
in their respective provinces/areas
Phases of Single National Curriculum

Single National Curriculum is being developed in three phases:

Phase I: Development of SNC and textbooks


Pre I-V (March 2021)
Phase II: Development of SNC and textbooks
VI-VIII (March 2022)
Phase III: Development of SNC and textbooks
IX-XII (March 2023)
