Increasing Stresses,
Conflicts, Crimes,
Terrorism, Violence and War

Resulting in Poor Quality of Life

Introduction
Peace is a fundamental aspiration of human
society, but it is continuously threatened by a
range of factors such as increasing stresses,
conflicts, crimes, terrorism, violence, and war.
These challenges not only undermine the well-
being of individuals but also affect the overall
quality of life within a society. In this report,
we will explore how these issues interconnect
and their collective impact on the quality of
life.
STRESS
• Modern life is often marked by a
relentless pace, where work, financial
pressures, and societal expectations create
significant stress.

• Elevated stress levels can lead to a

variety of health issues, including mental
health problems, reducing the overall
quality of life.
CONFLICT
• Conflicts can arise due to a variety of
factors, such as resource scarcity, political
differences, or territorial disputes.

• Prolonged conflicts disrupt social

cohesion, disrupt essential services, and
impede economic development, resulting in
a lower quality of life for affected
populations.
CRIMES
• High crime rates, especially in urban
areas, can have a profound impact on
individuals' daily lives.

• The fear of crime and the actual

occurrence of criminal activities can limit
personal freedoms and deter investment
and economic growth, ultimately affecting
the quality of life.
TERRORISM
• Terrorism introduces a new dimension of
fear and insecurity in society.

• Frequent terrorist attacks can lead to

increased surveillance, restrictions on civil
liberties, and heightened anxiety among the
general population, all of which degrade
quality of life.
VIOLENCE and WAR
• Violence and war are perhaps the
most extreme challenges to peace,
01
resulting in loss of life, displacement,
and destruction on a massive scale.

• These events not only result in

immediate suffering but leave lasting
scars on the affected communities,
02 affecting their quality of life for
generations.
