Problems, Methods, and Findings,
provides the summary of the
problems, methods, and findings
of the study.

the generalizations formulated
based on the analysis and
interpretation of the results of
the investigation.

present suggestions on the
application of the findings of the
study and possible areas for
future researches that may be
undergone by interested
researchers.
Summary of the Problems,
Methods, and Findings
The primary purpose of the study
was to determine the sexual
media exposure and knowledge
in sex education of Grade 10
students in Dao National High
School.
Specifically, this study
sought answers to the
following questions:
1. What is the level of sexual
media exposure of Grade 10
students as a group and when
they are classified according to
sex and socio-economic status?
2. What is the level of knowledge
in sex education of Grade 10
students as a group and when
they are classified according to
sex and socio-economic status?
3. Is there a significant
relationship between sexual
media exposure and knowledge
in sex education of Grade 10
students?
In view of the
aforementioned statement of
the problem, the following
were hypothesized:
1. There is no significant
relationship between sexual
media exposure and knowledge in
sex education of Grade 10
students.
The participants of this study are
30 students (15 males and 15
females) of Dao National High
School and purposive sampling was
applied in selecting the
participants.
Survey questionnaires
standardized test authored by
(Hill,199), researcher made and
were used to gather data needed
in determining the level of
healthy lifestyle practices and
interpersonal skills of Grade 11
students.
The independent variable
covered the sexual media
exposure of Grade 10 students,
sex, and socio-economic status
and the dependent variable is
the knowledge in sex education
of Grade 10 students.
Frequency count, percentage, mean, and
standard deviation as descriptive
statistical tools were utilized for data
analysis. Moreover, the t-test, Analysis of
Variance (ANOVA), and the Pearson r were
used as inferential statistical tools to
determine the significant difference and
relationship. A two-tailed test was used at
5% level of significance for inferential
analysis.
The Major Findings of this
study were:
1. As a group, the level of sexual media
exposure of Grade 10 students is found to
be good. Specifically, in terms of sex, both
male and female students found that they
have a sexual media exposure as good.
Results further revealed that in terms of
socio-economic status, students who have
low, average and high monthly family
income are all found healthy lifestyle
practices as good.
2. The overall impacts of knowledge in sex
education of Grade 10 students is found to be low.
Specifically, in terms of sex, the impacts are high
in male students, also female students are found
to have low knowledge in sex education. The
results also revealed that in terms of socio-
economic status, students have low monthly
family, also those students who were belong in
low socio-economic status have low knowledge in
sex education.
3. There have a significant
relationship in the sexual media
exposure and knowledge in sex
education of Grade 10 students.
Conclusions
In the light of the
aforementioned findings of the
study, the following conclusions
were drawn:
1. As a group, the level of sexual media exposure
of Grade 10 students is found to be good.
Specifically, in terms of sex, both male and
female students found the sexual media
exposure as good. Results further revealed that
in terms of socio-economic status, students who
have low, average and high socio-economic
status sexual media exposure as good too. It
shows that both male and female students were
not yet fully knowledgeable about sexual media
exposure.
Maybe because both males and females were still
lack of time needed in doing some practices.
Maybe both of them have no ideas how to
maintain a sexual media exposure or either the
students are not expose in sexual media. Also may
be because students are more prone to engage in
other activities other than sexual media that
known to negatively affect well-being, such as
physical inactivity, stress, and poor dietary habits.
This is because of inability to organize time,
stress of exams and deadlines, irregular sleeping
pattern, and new peers relationship.
2. The overall knowledge in sex education
of Grade 10 students is found to be low.
Specifically, in terms of sex, male students
have low knowledge in sex education, also
female students are found to have low
knowledge in sex education. The results
also revealed that in terms of socio-
economic status of Grade 10 students who
have low socio-economic status have low
knowledge in sex education.
Also those students who were belong in average
and high socio-economic status have low
knowledge in sex education. It means that Grade
10 students have a low knowledge in sex
education. It can be concluded that being a sexual
media expose can help gain knowledge in sex
education. It can be also infer that students were
molded and improved because of this activities.
This may be due to the reason that they were not
sexual media expose.
3. There was a significant relationship in the level
of sexual media exposure and knowledge in sex
education of Grade 10 students. This result inferred
that sexual media exposure have relationship to
knowledge in sex education, sexual media exposure
did affect knowledge in sex education. It can be
also concluded that even the students viewed
sexual media exposure as good but they still learn
how to adjust and cope up which resulted them to
have low knowledge in sex education.
Recommendations
Based on the findings and
conclusions, the following
recommendation are hereby
endorsed:
1. Since the results revealed that Grade 10
students viewed sexual media exposure as good,
it is recommended that the students do not have
willingness to learn sex education that they not
put into practice. He or She must not be expose
in sexual media. Teachers must conduct some
activities to further improve their students sexual
media exposure, identify their bad habits and
good habits, and to motivate everyone to have
knowledge in sex education
The school’s principal must be inactive in
this activity. He or she should advice the
teachers under him or her on how to be
assist everyone on doing sexual media
exposure.
2. In terms of knowledge in sex education, the
students are recommended to be more determined
in the need for communication, they must need to
interact with other people daily or hourly.
Knowledge in sex education can also help
awareness in sexual media activities. At school,
knowledge in sex education help students clarify
to their mind that having knowledge in sex
education can help a lot specially during this time
that criminal activities that involved sexual
activities.
3. Although results also revealed that there
has a significant relationship between
sexual media exposure end knowledge in
sex education of Grade 10 students, the
students are still recommended to learn sex
education so that they can use their
knowledge in determining what is good or
bad about sex.
Teachers are also recommended to teach
their students to learn sexual media
exposure and knowledge in sex education.
School’s principal and parents are also
recommended to continue guiding and
supporting the students for learning about
sex education.
4. A replicate of this study may be
conducted utilizing different
variables for further data collection
and investigation.
