• Initially the institute got it’s name as marris college of
music, which was established on 15th july, 1926 by renowned singer and musicologist, Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande. • It was renamed as Bhatkhande Music Institute on 26th March, 1966 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh as it took over this institute.
