why we follow certain teachings or how we
behave and are responsible for various
moral teachings. Ethics is divided into two
groups, namely: General Ethics and
Specific Ethics.

Political ethics is a chapter of political philosophy that discusses political

behavior or actions to be assessed in terms of good and bad.

The function of political ethics in society is limited to providing

theoretical tools to question and explain political legitimacy in a
responsible manner.

In the implementation and administration of the state, political ethics requires that power
within the state be exercised in accordance with:

Principle of Legality (legal legitimacy), namely carried out in accordance with applicable law

Ratified and implemented democratically (democratic legitimacy)

Moral principles are implemented or do not conflict with them (moral legitimacy)

The ethical values ​that we can find in Pancasila are manifested in the
following order:

1 The Social order has basic values ​such as prohibiting the exploitation of fellow humans. Everyone is
obliged to humane and also justice socially

2 The state order has the basic values ​of independence, sovereignty, unity, justice and prosperity

3 The Foreign order has the values ​of world order, eternal peace, independence and social justice

Examples of the application of Pancasila political ethics: Campaigning while still promoting human values, for
example by maintaining the safety of other parties, not harming other people, and maintaining good relations
with each other so that they remain harmonious, so that clashes will never occur. This is based on the 3rd
principle.
