• You will have to answer the
following questions:
• Which stores have similar
timetables?
• Which day of the week has more
restricted hours?
• What is the best time for you to
go to: the supermarket / the
bank / boutiques and small
shops / premium outlets?
• 1) The store that have similar timetables are the boutiques and
small shops, the bank and the post office.
• 2) the day of the week that has more restricted hours is Sunday
and important holiday such as Christmas eve, New Year’s eve,
New Year’s day and Independence Day.

Shops & Offices Opening Timetables
Most shops in the USA open from Monday to
Saturday from 9 - 10 a.m. to 8 - 10 p.m.
Supermarkets usually open at earlier hours, between 6
or 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. (7:00 - 22:00) every day.
Boutiques and smaller shops often close early at 5 or
6 p.m. (17:00 or 18:00), and usually close once or
twice a week, most often on Sunday.
Nearly all stores in the United States have restricted
hours on Sundays (most often from 11 am or noon to
5 - 7 pm), and stores close early on important
holidays, such as Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve,
New Year's Day, and Independence Day. Banks, post
offices, and other government offices start operating
at 8 a.m. on weekdays, but they either close on
weekends, or early on Saturdays. Many other non-
retail establishments remain closed on weekends.

Prepositions Used for Schedules
