It refers to the degree of accomplishment of the tasks that
make up an individual’s job and indicates how well a
personnel is fulfilling the job requirements.
Also known as Annual review, Employee Appraisal,
Performance Review or Evaluation.

What is Performance Appraisal?
It is the systematic, periodic, and impartial rating of an
employee’s excellence in matters pertaining to his present
job and his potential for a better job

Here are some of the common Performance appraisals:
Self Assessment: Individuals rate their job performance and
behavior.
Peer Assessment: An individual’s workgroup or co-workers rate
their performance.
360-degree Feedback Assessment: Includes input from an
individual, supervisor, and peers.
Negotiated Appraisal: Utilizes a mediator and attempts to moderate
the adversarial nature of performance evaluations by allowing the
subject to present first.
