    A. Identify the network components based on the categories in your current home network?

    Host

    We personal computer, laptop, and smartphones at home

    Peripheral

    In our home, we have locally attached printers and scanners

    Network device

    At home, we have a router, hubs, and switches

    Network media

    We use wired cables for the internet that we have, and wireless for providing internet at home.

    B. Describe what type of network that you are currently using?

    We are now using LAN (Local Area Network) for networking because it is a widely useful network for
    sharing resources like files, printers, games, and other application. This network is to connect computers
    and a printer in someone’s home or office. In general, LAN will be used as one type of transmission
    medium. You can easily transfer data and messages over networked computers. It will be easy to
    manage data at only one place, which makes data more secure.
