PPST (Philippine Professional Standards for

Teachers)
- a set of standards that makes explicit what
teachers should know, be able to do, and value to
achieve competence, improved student learning
outcomes, and eventually quality education.
INTEGRATION OF PPST IN LESSON
PLANNING

Planning is everything. The planning aspect

of teaching is vital because it alone can make
the difference between a teacher's failure and
success.
As competent teachers, we strive to design
lessons that meet the needs of our learners to
make the teaching and learning process
seamless and progressive.

We begin by understanding the content of the

"Bible" curriculum that we refer to when
planning our lessons.
The skills in Curriculum Guide (hereinafter referred
to as CG) are skills that learners should master by
the end of each lesson.

Teachers need to religiously follow the parts of the

Daily Lesson Log (DLL) template. As
per DepEd Order 42, s. 2016 also known as the
“Policy Guidelines on Daily Lesson
Preparation for the K to 12 Basic Education
Program,”
DLL or DLP provides teachers with an
opportunity for reflection on what learners
need to learn, how learners learn, and how
best facilitate the learning process.
We basically track how a lesson is
delivered in a regular lesson plan from
review of previous lessons to
evaluation of learning and provision
for additional activities in the form of
an assignment.
Integrating PPST into lesson planning involves
aligning your teaching objectives, activities, and
assessments with the relevant standards. Ensure
that your lessons address the key competencies
outlined in PPST to enhance the quality of
instruction and support student learning outcomes.
