Reading is the activity of looking at reading writing and process of understanding

the contents of the next aloud of silently, as well as expressing an imagination of a reader that
is liked by the general public and also understood by many people.

 Reading according to R. C. Anderson in a book entitled Language Skills in Elementary

Education (1972), reading is a process of recoding and decoding. Where the code is in the
form of symbols or written language symbols.
 Reading according to F. M. Hodgson in a book entitled Learning Modern Languages
(1960), reading is a process of obtaining messages conveyed by writers through the media
in the form of worlds or written language.
 Reading according to Finosshiaro and Bonomo Mery Finocchiaro and MicahelBonomo in
their book entitled The Foreign Language Learner: A Guide for Theachers (1973), reading
is picking and understanding the meaning contained in written language.
 UNDERSTANDING OF INTENSIVE
READING
Intensive reading is the acrivity of reading a reading text carefully and deeply by
capturing more in-depth information in the text.Intensive reading can also be interpreted as
reading with full appreciation to absorb what should be mastered. Some of the benefits of
intensive reading are:
 Can master the reading content steadily and well
 Know the backround to which the reading was written easily
 Can have a longer memory regarding the content of the reading
 Obtain knowledge in depth, precisely and accurately
 Sharpen and grow critical thinking skills
 Master the overall content of the reading.

READING
Reading it was amazing. Because reading will make us have the power of
imagination, have a broad heart and are not easy to be provoked. Reading will also make us
less judgmental because readers are patient people and will postpone making decisions until
the last page has been read.
