Ecological Solid Waste Mgt. Act of 2000

The Barangay is mandated to implement


the ecological Solid Waste Management
Program.
Barangay Officials shall organize BESWMC.
The Brgy. shall establish a Material
Recovery Facility (MRF) which shall
receive mixed waste for final sorting,
segregation, composting and recycling.

Anti-Violence Against Women and
Children Act of 2004

The Punong Barangay shall entertain complaints


on abuses on women and their children.
It shall issue Barangay Protection Order (BPO).
The Barangay Officials are mandated to
immediately respond to call for help or request
for assistance or protection of the victim.

Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006

The Barangay shall create a BCPC.


The Barangay is mandated to implement
diversion and intervention program to
Children in Conflict with the Law
The Barangay is required to allocate one
(1%) percent of the Internal Revenue
Allotment for the strengthening of the
BCPC.

Phil Disaster Risk Reduction and Mgt. Act of
2010
The Barangay shall create a Brgy. Disaster
Risk Reduction and Management Committee
(BDRRMC) whose function shall be assumed
by the Barangay Development Council.
The BDRRMC is a regular committee of the
BDC
The Barangay shall implement Disaster Risk
Management Program
