BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Parents are heroes for their children.

They look up to them and they have a great
influence on their children’s career choices.
In children's lives, parental counsel is

Data Collection

The data will be collected from the first year Bachelor

of Science in Marine Engineering students of St. Therese -
MTC Colleges, Magdalo Site. Moreover, these data will be
gathered directly from the respondents through a
questionnaire and will be collected by the researchers
respectively.

Data Analysis
The data gathered from the questionnaire will be
systematically tabulated, analyzed and interpreted by the
researchers in order to obtain accurate information,
findings and figures relevant to the needed data in finding
out the parental influence in pursuing maritime education
course of marine engineering students in St. Therese MTC
Colleges Magdalo Site.
Research Validity and Reliability
To make sure that the instrument is valid, accurate
and reliable; before the distribution of the instrument,
persons in authority such as content expert, method expert
and grammar expert will be asked to validate the
instrument. The researchers will confer with the instructor
the correctness, accuracy, relevance and reliability of the
instrument created.
