What is Global Warming ?
• This term refers to the general
increase in the earth’s average
temperature caused by the
presence of greenhouse gases in
the atmosphere, which causes
changes in climate patterns
across the globe.
Effects of Global Warming...
• Polar bears are losing their
habitats.
• Sea level is rising.
• Glaciers are melting fast.
• Hurricanes are getting bigger
and stronger.
• Temperatures are going up.
Greenhouse Gases-
Greenhouse Gases are carbon
dioxide and methane, mostly
caused by human activity.
Greenhouse gases are in the
atmosphere, absorbing and
holding heat, which causes earth’s
temperature to rise.
Prevention To Global Warming ->
• Change a light->Replacing one • Plant a tree->A single tree will
regular light bulb with a compact absorb one ton of carbon
fluorescent light bulb will save dioxide over its lifetime.
150 pounds of carbon dioxide a
year.
• Drive less ->Walk, bike or take
mass transit more often. You'll
save one pound of carbon
dioxide for every mile you don't
drive!
• Do not use plastic.
• Switch of fans,lights when not in
use.
• Limit the usage of fresh water.
• Use Rain water.

• I pledge to help the earth with global warming issue. I will do this
making small changes in my life. I will also try to educate my friends
about global warming.
