Presented By Season Rai

Introduction

 The muscular system is an

organ system consisting of skeletal, smooth and
cardiac muscles.
 There are about 650 muscles in our body.
 It movement of the body, maintains posture and
circulates blood throughout the body.
Types of Muscular

The Muscles are put in Three groups They

are :

 Voluntary Muscles
 Involuntary Muscles
 Cardiac Muscles
1. Voluntary Muscles

 Themuscles which bring about the movements of

the skeleton are voluntary muscles.
 Thesemuscles are muscles which function
according to our wishes.
 They are found in legs , hands , etc.
 They helps us to walk , talk , writing and other
activities.
2 . Involuntary Muscles

 Involuntary muscles are the muscles that cannot be

controlled by will or conscious and are often associated
with organs that exhibit slow and regular contractions and
relaxation.
 Involuntary muscles are also termed as smooth
muscles or non-striated muscles as there are no
striations when viewed under the microscope.
 The autonomic nervous system supplies
stimulation to these involuntary muscles.
3 . Cardiac Muscles

 Cardiac muscle is striated muscle that is present only in

the heart.
 Cardiac Muscle fibers have a single nucleus, are
branched, and joined to one another by intercalated discs
that contain gap junctions for depolarization between
cells and desmosomes to hold the fibers together when
the heart contracts.
 Cardiac muscle tissue works to keep your heart pumping
through involuntary movements
Health of Muscular System

 Weshould regularly do physical exercises and

games are also essential.
 We should do a high protein diet .
