Introduction:
Welcome to our presentation on
the issue of world hunger and the
efforts being made to eradicate it.
Hunger is a complex problem that
affects millions of people around
the world, and it is our hope that
this presentation will shed light
on the current state of world
hunger, its causes, and the
solutions that are being
implemented to address it.
Current State of World Hunger:
World hunger remains a significant issue
affecting millions of people worldwide.
According to the United Nations, an
estimated 690 million people were
undernourished in 2019, up by 10 million
from 2018.
The COVID-19 pandemic has further
exacerbated the issue, with an additional
130 million people expected to face acute
food insecurity by the end of 2020.
Sub-Saharan Africa and Southern Asia
are the regions most affected by hunger,
with 57 percent of the world's
undernourished population residing in
these areas.

Impact of Hunger on
Communities:
Hunger has a devastating impact on
communities, particularly in developing
countries. Malnutrition can lead to
stunted growth, weakened immune
systems, and increased susceptibility to
disease. Children who suffer from
hunger are more likely to drop out of
school, perpetuating the cycle of poverty
and limiting their future opportunities.
Hunger also affects productivity and
economic growth, as individuals are too
weak to work and communities struggle
to meet their basic needs.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, the issue of world hunger is
a complex and multifaceted problem that
requires a comprehensive approach. While
progress has been made in recent years,
there is still much work to be done to
eradicate hunger and ensure that
everyone has access to nutritious food. It
is important that governments, non-
profits, and individuals continue to work
together to address the root causes of
hunger and implement sustainable
solutions that can make a meaningful
impact on communities around the world.
