Simple Present Tense
#1 : Habits
We use the Simple Present Tense
to talk about habits (things we do
all of the time)
Examples:
 I have breakfast at 7 a.m. every
morning.
 Nayla brushes his teeth before
she goes to bed.
 I play piano at weekend.
 My brother goes swimming at the
weekend.
#2 : GENERAL TRUTH Things that are always true
We use the Simple Present
Tense to talk about things that
are always true.

Example:
 The sky is blue.
 The Earth goes round the
Sun.
 I am a student.
 The simple
present tense is
Simple used to describe
habits, unchanging
Present situations, general
truths, and fixed

Simple Present Tense
