 It is important to adopt a mode of dressing that is simple, tasteful and
elegant that accentuates your own character and personality.
Dress to Express

 Traditionally, people dress in order to impress, however, in today’s world,


people dress in order to express. Many believe that to impress is the job of
intelligence. To express authority, power dressing comes in. In fact it affects
how you feel about yourself which in turn affects your body language. When
you feel confident in your clothes, you automatically exude that confidence in
dealing with others, including the way you talk, the way you walk.
 The basic rule for dressing is to know your own style.
Dress to Gain Respect

 Power dressing states authority, which in turn makes you respect the person
who is in command. Crisp dressing shows authority. The aura says it all,
which makes others see you with a different perspective.
Dress to Create an Impact

 People tend to show their best foot forward including when it comes to
dressing. The choice is yours on the way you want others to see you. Your
dressing style and the way you present yourself to others create an impression
that lasts. Without your knowledge, you may have other names such as
“baduy,” “losyang,” ipinanganak noong panahon ni Lapu-Lapu,” “manang
manang” “napaka neat” “mabangong tingnan” etc.
PROPER DRESS ETIQUETTE

 The way we show up and dress properly It can be in formal, semi-formal,


sports, summer wear and millennial attire
 What we wear depends on where and what we suppose to attend; it should be
applied in proper occasion that is suited to the dress or attire that you are
wearing.
FORMAL WEAR

 formal attire or full dress in the traditional western dress code category
applicable for the most formal occasions such as wedding, christening,
confirmations, balls
SPORTS

 specific clothing is worn for most sports and physical exercise; for practical,
comfort or safety reasons. Typical garments include tracksuits, shorts, tee
shirt and polo shirts. Don’t wear accessories or anything that may harm you.
Wear appropriate athletic shoe for specific sport activities to improve comfort
and performance most importantly, prevent injuries.
MILLENNIAL ATTIRE

 millennial prefers a relaxed working environment. They require casual or


semi-formal clothes to go with mood
SUMMER ATTIRE/ SUNDRESS

 a dress intended to be worn in warm weather. Typically, it is on informal or


casual dress in a lightweight fabric, most commonly cotton and usually loose-
fitting. Don’t wear accessories or jewelry when you are on a beach or when
you intend to swim.
UNIFORM

 A part of school identity


 It creates uniformity and promotes school spirit. When everyone is dressed
the same, they feel that they are part of the school community which in turn
boosts their morale.
Proper Wearing of School Uniform
 Socks, school ID, school shoes are part of the uniform.
 Sleeves must not be rolled
 Skirt should not be worn above the knee
 Wear white inner shirt without print
 Wear not too high heels – you are not in a pageant
 For those who are on their OJT. One palm above the knee is acceptable in
some offices, however, it is more appropriate to use skirt one inch above the
knee. The tendency if you wear a micro mini, you’ll feel uncomfortable once
you sit and you skirt rolls up.
 Remember that an office is a place for you to work, not for fashion or anything else
(seeking for a partner, seducing someone etc.).

 Daring clothes
 Plunging neckline
 Off-shoulders shirt/blouse

 Wear clothes that do not distract others

Remember, what we wear is indicative of our intentions


 Do you want others to salivate when they see you? Uh hmmm
 Do you want others to say you are sexy? Sexy may mean, you look good for
sex. Beware.
 Do you want to project a good image?
 Do you want others to respect you?

The way you dress influences how others treat you!
