Idea/Approach Details
An Android and IOS application that is capable of monitoring electricity and water usage in
real-time and giving appropriate nudges to the user if the resources are extensively in use or
if not the user is aware. This application uses technologies like Artificial Intelligence and
Data Science in order to enhance features and give accurate readings. The front end of the
application is created using Flutter and Dart technologies. Wireless data transmission
technologies such as wireless communication and LoRa can be used to transmit and access
the data from the Smart Electricity and Smart Water Meters. Cloud services such as AWS
can be used to store the data recorded by the Smart Meters. Features of the App :
1: Real-time monitoring of the use of resources - Display current electricity usage in real-
time, including watts, kilowatts, or any other relevant units. - Show the fluctuations in
electricity consumption throughout the day.
2: Capable of storing and giving insights related to historical data.
3: The app will be capable of estimating the bill cost of the resources and also come with a
bill payment integrated system.
4: The app gives alerts and notifications to the user for abnormally high usage.
5: Daily, monthly, and yearly energy usage reports will be displayed on the application.
Technology Stack
7: Energy usage goals will be customizable for every user according to their preferences. Frontend: Flutter & Dart
Backend : Python, Data Science
8: Geolocation and weather data will be displayed as warnings for power cut-offs in the near
future.
Database : Firebase
9: Multiplatform support, customer service, review and customization. Cloud: AWS, Google Cloud Platform
Wireless Data Transmission, LoRa
