About BIBO
BIBO stands for Breathe In Breathe Out! As the name suggests, Bibo stands for respiratory
wellness with a range of premium products for catering to both acute and chronic needs.

It is an OTC brand for respiratory problems.

Target Group: The products are safe for kids as well as adults with initial marketing targeting
kids and now moving to adults.

Omni-Channel Brand: BIBO is a digital pharmaceutical company which has a range of

products sold through both online as well as offline mode.

Problem Definition – Need For Carrying Out the
Project

The delivery time of products to north eastern parts of India as

well certain northern parts of India is around 8 to 12 days which is
considered a lot when concerned with pharmaceutical products.

Existing system
• Currently, there is only one warehouse located in Bengaluru and the time taken to
deliver products to north eastern parts of India and some northern parts of India is roughly
8-12 days.

• Whenever an order is placed, the products are packed from this warehouse and
delivered to an intermediate site.

• From there the package is delivered to the exact address.

explained the need of combining
networks for an organisation.

decision-making. The AHP model provides
network a comprehensive framework to evaluate
different alternatives based on multiple
criteria, which may otherwise be
challenging for managers to evaluate.

Loss minimization Shilpa Kalambe 2013 The paper highlights the advantages and

"Application of AHP in Nguyen et al. 2015 In this study, AHP was used to
distribution network evaluate different distribution
design" network design alternatives. The
authors identified several criteria,
such as transportation cost, lead
time, and delivery reliability, and
used AHP to determine the relative
importance of these criteria. The
results of the study showed that
the proposed approach could help
decision-makers select the best
distribution network design
alternative.

Distribution network Daniela Ambrosino 2004 The paper presents an overview of

and related models network design.
This paper proposes various
models and approaches for solving
the distribution network design
problem, including mathematical
programming, heuristic algorithms,
and simulation-based optimization.
Objectives

• To reduce the delivery lead time of the existing system.

• To minimize the first mile time of the existing system.

Methodology

• Develop a thorough understanding of the previously placed orders in terms

of the location and quantity.

• Create a network model with inputs as customer information(location),

distribution centres, demand, facility expenses, path, vehicle type, etc. on
AnyLogistiX software

• Perform network optimization on AnyLogistiX software which can provide

distribution facilities as well as sourcing options.
Methodology
Methodology

NETWORK OPTIMIZATION:

• Will provide the most optimal locations for distribution facilities.

• The most optimal solution is the best set of flows and facilities considering a
profit maximizing objective.

• Inputs for network optimization:

1. Demand

2. Location of suppliers, customers, existing and potential facilities and paths

between the supply chain elements.
Methodology

NETWORK OPTIMIZATION:

Inputs( continued):

3. Inventory

4. Distribution centres Fixed costs, variable costs and transportation costs.

5. Time periods
Tools Used

AnyLogistix Software
 AnyLogistiX is a supply chain optimization software that helps with network
optimization and simulation modelling.

 It allows to create a network model and set parameters and work on the optimization
of the model.
