O The league of Nations was established to
prevent further disputes and wars in the
world. Before the wound of the World
War I was healed the World War II broke
out just after 20 years and nine months.
The role of league of Nations remained
non- functional to control the flame of
retribution burning inside defeated

O 1939, September 1 – Germany attacked Poland
and World War II began.
O September 3 – Britain and France accused
Germany of the attack and declared war against
Germany.
O 1940, April 9 – Germany attacked Norway and
Denmark.

behalf of Axis power.
O May 10 – Germany attacked Belgium, the Netherlands
and Luxemberg, and capture.
