    Globalization has both positive and negative impacts on women. Positively, it has led to greater inclusion of women in the workforce and economy, as well as increased access to education, information, and opportunities for economic independence and social mobility. However, these benefits have primarily helped middle-and-upper income women. Globalization has also increased exploitation of women through cost-cutting measures that favor low-wage "women's work" and a lack of diverse job opportunities. Traditional gender roles and new forms of discrimination persist.
