on Speech
The main idea of speech messages is enhanced supporting
techniques. Supporting techniques can be visual, audio/verbal,
or audio-visual.
A. Explanation
The explanation is details that clarify a discussion and convey
the why, how, and what.

A Yale University professor, Graham Summer, argues that in explaining a


social fact, we can ask the following four questions:
- What is it?
- Why is it?
- What of it?
- What are we going to do about it?

B. Authority
Authority is what has been expressed by people who are
authors in a particular field in their work.
Authority can also obtain from scriptures, books of law or
legislation, and other reference books.

C.Testimony
A testimony gives by another person who has experienced a case or
event. A speaker can use it on the sidelines or at the end of a speech.

Speakers can ask people who have experienced an event or case, to tell
their experiences in front of the audience.

The purpose of the testimony is to strength the message of


the speaker's speeches.

Comparison
Have a function to make somethings easier to understanded,
somethings complicated can compared to somethings that easy
to find in our daily activities.
