• Regular membership: Regular Memberships are for those in freight forwarding, shipping and
transportation, and importing and exporting. These can include Freight Forwarders , Freight
Brokers , Drayage Operators , Customs Brokers , Warehouse Operators. In business for a minimum
of 36 months Fees- $1250 annually

Associate membership: Associate Memberships are for all other companies. Join CIFFA for your
opportunity to expand your network with world-class freight forwarders, custom brokers, freight
brokers, warehouse operators, and carter/drayage companies. Stay up to date with the industry and
cost-saving programs. In business for a minimum of 24 months Fees- $770 annually

Dangerous goods
AIR DANGEROUS
GOODS
This certification program is
designed for freight
forwarders, shippers, and
operators. Participants will
attain a certificate for
handling and processing
hazardous materials that
aligns with Transport
Canada regulations. The
course duration ranges from
12 to 16 hours, contingent
on the chosen delivery
method.
OCEAN DANGEROUS
GOODS
This course is acceptable for
all Freight Forwarders and
certifies the student to ship
dangerous goods by sea. 8 to
12 hours to
complete. Recertify every 36
months.
ROAD DANGEROUS GOODS
This course fulfills the training
criteria mandated by Transport
Canada for the transportation of
hazardous materials by road. It is
suitable for both Freight
Forwarders and Truck Drivers, and
the completion time is estimated at
4 to 6 hours

AUTHORIZED CARGO REPRESENTATIVE (ACR)

Learn how to handle cargo destined for air transport in a “secure” environment.

CARGO SECURITY CO-ORDINATOR (CSC) INITIAL

A Cargo Security Coordinator (CSC) is identified as a senior company representative vested with the responsibility and authority to oversee air cargo
security matters and engage with Transport Canada as required.
