printer technology .
 It can produce solid objects that actually work.
 The solid object is build up layer by layer using
materials such as powdered resin, powered
metal ,paper or ceramic.
 USES OF 3D PRINTER:
• Prosthetic limbs can be made to fit exactly on
the injured body part.
• It is used to make statue .
• It is also used for Fashion and art.
• 3D printing allows new creative ideas to be
developed.
• Used for making parts of items no longer in
production, for example, parts for a vintage
car.
 ADVANTAGES OF 3D PRINTER:

 Manufacturing has become much easier than before as it

allows users to create their own designs in 3D and have them
printed in solid form.
 It will take a really short period of time for designs to be
converted into working prototypes.
 Medical benefits are emerging, such as producing artificial
organs, prosthetics and precision-made items for
reconstructive surgery.
 Parts for machinery that are no longer made could now be
manufactured using 3D printers.
 DISADVANTAGES OF 3D PRINTER:
• 3D printing turns every owner of one of these
printers into a potential manufacturer. Thus it
could become very difficult to trace the source of
fake items.
• With the possibility of creating almost anything
with the use of a 3D printer, this technology could
be used to manufacture dangerous items by almost
anyone.
• There is a potential for job losses if this technology
takes over from some types of manufacturing.
• All new technology in hands of wrong people can
lead to dangerous or illegal activities.
