Facility layout means planning for:
◦ Location of all machines, utilities, employee workstations, customer service
areas, material storage areas, aisles, restrooms, lunchrooms, internal walls,
offices, and computer rooms
◦ The flow patterns of materials and people around, into, and within
buildings
