WHAT ARE THE AFFRIC The Affric Highlands are an ecosystem centered around
HIGHLANDS? Loch Affric, one of the largest and most significant of all
the Lochs in the Highlands, located centrally in
Scotland.

 WHY ANIMALS
REWILD? Many animals such as wolves
used to inhabit the British Isles;
but went extinct.
PLANT-LIFE
Many plants can't inhabit the cold
rough terrain of the Highlands and
went extinct with the
disappearance of their habitat.
HUNTING
Hunting was a popular sport in
Britain and thus many animals
were hunted to extinction on the
island.
CLIMATE CHANGE
Climate change has affected the
Loch negatively and started to dry
it up.
OVERGRAZING
Many farmed animals have
contributed to the extinction of
species of plants due to excessive
feeding.

WHAT
WILL WE
DO?
RE-WET PEATLANDS
Reinvigorated Peatlands will
increase their effectiveness of
carbon recapture and hold
much water, providing flood
and drought mitigation.
REINTRODUCE PLANT-
LIFE SUCH AS:
Caledonian Pinewood
Rare Flora
REINTRODUCE RARE
AND EXTINCT ANIMALS BACK
TO THE ISLES

Eurasian Lynxes

fences and protect a wilder
future.
