 A shot with no movement- often used for
dialouge, sometimes this type of shot can be
STATIC used to convey how a character is stuck or
helpless

THE WHIP  A pan that is sped up- its used to create energy
within a scene, they can also be used to show
PAN synergy between two charecters

 A tilt is similar to a pan but instead of side to
side its up and down- this is used to show a
TILT character as dominant or even vunrable- this
can also be used to reveal information or even
scale.

 The push in shot moves the camera towards
the subject whether that be an object, a scene,
PUSH IN a piece of text or a person- this is a visual cue
to the audience that this thing is important-
this can also be used as a pov shot

 Pulling out is just the opposite of pulling in
PULL OUT and so it can be used to deemphasize an object
and make it seem small and insignificant

A zoom is like a pull in apart from the camera
stays stationary, a zoom shot changes the focal
ZOOM length of the camera lense, there are both zoom
ins and outs- zooming out can reveal the context
around a shot- this camera movement is often
used to create an unnatural sense to the shot

CRASH  A crash zoom is just a fast zoom often used in
montages- they can either be used for
ZOOM dramatic or comedic effect

 A dolly zoom uses both a dolly movement and
DOLLY a lens zoom- this is used to create the vertigo
effect- a dolly zoom can either be done
ZOOM through zooming in and dollying out ort it can
be done through zooming out and dollying in

 The camera roll is a rotation which maintains
the direction of the lens while turning the
CAMERA camera on it vertical axis- camera rolls are
used too make a shot more unsettling and
ROLL disorientating- they can be used to match
charceter movement in moments of panic or
conflict

 A tracking shot is where as a charcter moves
the camera moves along with them- this can
be used to create a pov shot- this also creates
TRACKING an air of mystery as the audience is wondering
where they are going/ what is happening as in
movie we are normally just put in the next
location

 This is like a tracking shot apart from it is
TRUCKING from the side on- this creates a storybook type
of vibe to the movie

 And arc shot is where the cameras orbits
around the focus this could be one person, a
ARC group of people, a object or even a building-
This shot creates energy and movement in a

 A boom shot moves the camera up or down
but keeps the same focus- these can be used to
BOOM reveal information or to follow character
movements

 This is defined by camera shake, incidental
RANDOM zooms or any movements that happen on the
fly- this is usuualay too create a more intimate
MOVEMENT setting or it could be used in a stylistic way
too make it look like a documentary
