human rights, supportive of self-determination
and actualization of human potentials.

The Philippines is committed internationally
- signatory (among the 179 countries) of
CEDAW (Convention on the Elimination of
Discrimination Against Women), known as
the International Bill of Rights of Women

Constitution, Article II Sec. 14 states that
- “The State recognizes the role of women
in nation building and shall promote the
FUNDAMENTAL EQUALITY before the law
of women and men.”
