• The Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival is an annual winter festival that takes place in
Harbin, China, with a theme and various ice and snow activities and competitions.
• The festival celebrates the Harbin Ice and Snow Works, which is the city’s main employer.

• It is the largest ice and snow festival in the world, attracting millions of visitors and generating
billions of yuan of revenue14.
• It has three main exhibits: Sun Island, Zhaolin Park, and the Grand World of Ice and Snow.

• The festival officially lasts from January 5th to the end of February, but some exhibits open
from late December.
