Introduction |
What is Aspirin used for ?
• Aspirin is mainly used for the relief of pain and
ınflammation, which can occur as symptoms of a
variety of diseases.
• Such as muscle, tooth and head aches.(1)

History
• Thomas Maclagan, a Dundee doctor, utilized
salicin to cure his patients' rheumatism, and he
released a report on the medication's amazing
results in The Lancet in 1876.(3)
• In 1897, a German scientist called Felix Hoffman
working for the Bayer corporation was able to
convert salicylic acid into acetylsalicylic acid,
popularly known as aspirin. (3)

• Countless and developing amount of individuals
encounter bipolar illness and depression worldwide.

• But there are only very few pharmacotherapy
methods available right now. Despite being given
adequate care, many individuals nevertheless have
subsyndromal symptoms, which sense bipolar illness
recurrence and can cause to cognitive deficits.(4)
• Common NSAID aspirin, which has been shown to
be protective towards depression and anxiety in early
cohort studies, is said to have significant impacts on
the signs and symptoms of mood disorders.(4)
Conclusion
• In conclusion, aspirin reduces the symptoms of
anxiety and mood disorders and provides a positive
treatment process for these diseases.
