WHAT IS “YOU APPROACH”?
Highlighting the students’ wants, needs, interests and desires. Nothing, but
nothing, is so geared to rivet their attention on what you are telling them as this
“you” approach.
Don’t say: “It is hoped that the foregoing answers the questions raised.”
Say: “Should you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.”
Don’t say: “In the process, activities will be done to recognize the important parts
of the sources where you can commonly get information from, such as books,
newspapers, and other print and online sources.”
Say: “In the process, you are to do activities to recognize the important parts of
the sources where you can commonly get information from, such as books,
newspapers, and other print and online sources.”
