These are our classroom standards for this morning.
● While the class is going on, I want you to listen
carefully, comprehend the lessons and cooperate.
● If you want to answer or raise your questions, just
raise your hand for you to be recognized.

Choose the correct corresponding analogy of the
underlined word. Supply the missing word in the
sentence. Choose the words inside the box and paste
it in the blank. Then Identify what type of
relationship thus the underline words have
( Part to whole, Cause and effect, Person to situation,
Synonym, Antonym or Geography ).

These are analogies in which one term is part
of the other term..
Example: eyes: face
(The eyes are part of the face.)
Cause and Effect
These are analogies in which one term is the
result of the other term.
Example: Planting trees has the effect of
preventing climate change as it helps absorb
carbon dioxide.
Person to Situation

These are analogies in which one term is the


work place of the other.

Example: saleslady: mall


(A saleslady works in mall.)
Synonym
These are analogies which both terms have
the same meaning.

Example: little: small


(Both terms mean the same.)
Antonym

These are analogies in which the terms are


opposite in meaning.

Example: elegant: unattractive


(The words have opposite meaning.)
Geography
These are analogies in which one of the terms
can be situated in the other.

Example: shopping mall: city


(Shopping mall Is found in the city.)
Analogy is a pair of terms that has
common relationship. In most cases,
you will not only determine the

pair but you will also have to
identify which term makes up each
pair. Usually, you are given two
terms in the format A: B, which
could be read as A related to B.
