OBJECTIVES
At the end of this lesson, you are expected to:
1.Describe who the Millennials are, how they differ from other
generations, and how they adapt to the constantly changing
technologies;
2. Identify the different generations and its characteristics; and
3. Create a creative presentation that reflects the different generations,
their differences, simillarities and characteristics.
Who are the Millennials?
A common source of confusion when
labeling generations is their age.
Generational cohorts are defined
(loosely) by birth year, not current age.
What is wrong in this statement?
Millennials
are
college
kids.
Baby Boomers Baby boomers were born between 1946 and 1964.
Generation X Gen X was born between 1965 and 1979/80.
Generation Y Gen Y, or Millennials, were born between 1981 and 1994/6.
Generation Z Gen Z is the newest generation, born between 1997 and 2012.
Generation A Generation Alpha starts with children born in 2012 and will continue at
least through 2025
